1973
Victor Rousseau, an agricultural producer, owned a dairy cow herd of about 100 head. A true visionary, he was constantly in search of means of improving existing equipment while at the same time coming up with new concepts. A long time inventor, he benefited from his innovations and subsequently shared them with his neighbours and friends.
1976
In response to a strong demand, he devoted all his energy and founded Rovibec Inc. At that time, he had no idea of the impact that his decision would have on today’s agricultural world.
1976 à 1983
Rovibec developed and marketed products such as the motorized feeding cart, the liquid manure handling system, the straw chopper, the stationary TMR mixer, the chemical fertilizer spreader and the roller mill.
1983
Continuing with its inventions, Rovibec introduced the first self propelled TMR mixer to the North American market. This machine contributed directly to the fame of the company. Since 1986, the Supermix, a faithful ambassador of the Rovibec brand, became the first Rovibec product to penetrate the European continent thanks to a number of Quebec producers who extolled its virtues to certain Swiss producers. This model continues to age well, having undergone several improvements over the years and it still maintains its level of excellence.
1986
Introduction of ROV, the first fully automated mineral and concentrate distribution device. Battery operated and travelling on a round steel rail, it has maintained its popularity to this day and remains the choice of many producers.
1991
Completely automated, the DEC was developed and put on the market. A distribution system for silage and concentrates with specific portions for each cow, its reputation has continued to grow. It has a marked presence in countries around the world including Canada, the United States, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Japan.
With the arrival of the new millennium
For the benefit of agricultural producers, Victor Rousseau, Rovibec’s founder, continues to innovate and create along with the members of his team.
2003
Creation of the stationary and mobile versions of the angled blending reel TMR mixer.
2005
Development and production of a hay processor capable of cutting both square and round bales to the length required by the producer. No matter whether the hay is dry or moist and regardless of the season or temperature.
Over the last few years
Rovibec has been able to correct or modify programming, identify problems and rectify problematic situations regardless of where you were situated in the world. It continues to serve the needs of its clients by adopting the latest in technological and computer developments for all of its roboticized systems.
Rovibec Agrisolutions inc. has, over the years, demonstrated its loyalty to the philosophy of its founder which is ‘Do everything possible to make the life of the producer easier, permitting him to provide quality for the well being of the animals.
